Played in three other qualifiers leading up to hisjunior season.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 19pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><strong>Summer 2008:</strong><br> Alex's summer was highlighted by winning the US Amateur Qualifierby six shots and earning a trip to the US Amateur in Pinehurst,North Carolina. Grieb, shot back to back rounds of 68 at SycuanResort in San Diego. At the Amateur he opened with a 78 atPinehurst No. 2 and came back with a 75 at the No. 4 course. Healso qualified for the Cal State Amateur with a 2-under 70 at ElCamino Country Club in May. At the Amateur Championship in June heshot rounds of 78-78 at Lakeside and Oakmont Country Club. In Julyhe took fifth at the Golden State Tour's event at the SCGA Course;posting rounds of 67-77. In all three Golden State tournaments thatGrieb participated in, he finished in the Top 10. Over the summerhe also posted a season low 65, hitting only eight greens buthaving just 19 putts.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 19pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><strong>2007-08 (Freshman):</strong><br> Grieb made an impact for the Tigers right at the beginning of hiscollegiate career, playing in all five of Pacific's Falltournaments. He took home a Top 20 in his first event, a 19th placefinish at the Adam's Cup of Newport in September. Following that hecontributed to the Tigers at the Husky Invitational and ThePrestige. He fired rounds of 76-73-72 at the Del Walker in LongBeach and came back with a 75-73-76 at Pacific's own PacificInvitational in November.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 19pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><strong>High School:</strong><br> A resident of San Diego, Grieb attended Rancho Bernardo HighSchool where he was named his school's Most Outstanding Athleteduring his senior season. Holding most of the golf records at hishigh school Grieb is looking to set some new ones at Pacific.Dating back to last season Alex finished second in three straightCalifornia Junior Tour tournaments. He was a member of JuniorAmerica's Cup in 2005 and the team that won in 2006. He was the SanDiego Player of the Year in 2005; placing tenth at Junior Worlds.His career low is a 63 at the SDJGA Craig Stadler Tournament wherehe shot rounds of 71-76-63.-67.</span></p>
